Rain on the scarecrow, blood on the plow
Oct. 28th, 2001 01:23 amI got offered a permanent job tonight, and was feeling pretty confident and pleased until a friend reminded me that I'm still fucked because I'm still not making enough money to survive on. So now I'm kind of confident and pleased and doomed. But we talked about possibilities, and if UPS really is paying $16 an hour for a starting position, I may be able to do that part time and not completely kill myself, in addition to the job at Debbi Lyn's. Still keeping an eye out for other positions, and I told Debbi that. She didn't seem terribly surprised. And both she and Tony have commented on how impressed they are with the job I've been doing.
I was out late last night (check the entry if you're confused on this point) and thus overslept and missed lunch. But that may be for the best, because I don't know as I really could have afforded a four hour lunch today. I got lots of laundry done and discovered that if you hang towels fresh from the dryer over your wrought iron bedframe you make a toasty warm little cave. This may come in handy later.

So you see, everyone in Berlin has a perfectly marvelous roommate.
He notes, as it comes up on the soundtrack.
I miss seeing her as much as I did, but I hope I am causing her less stress now.
So no game writing last night, and none again tonight. I wrote some this morning but I hated it and burned like I did the stuff I wrote earlier.
