I got remote control on my color TV

Saw City of Lost Children last night. Whatever I was expecting, that wasn't it. (I had gotten the idea from somewhere that it was modern and took place somewhere in India.) I really liked it--I bet Terry Gilliam did too. I may need to find a copy of my own. Steampunk stuff, Ron Perlman out of make up, and an ending that makes more sense than most anime. (No I'm not bitter about Hellsing. Why do you ask?) Bonus good news, it got me thinking and gave me ideas for writing which I could really use given the stagnant state of my writing projects.

Cities aflame in the summertime

Mighty damn hot today. What happened? Summer was *over*.
Got the soup made today--it should be all crockpotted in time for dinner tomorrow night (and lunch the next day and...). I got caught up on TiVo, mended my work trousers (pink thread--go me), got email answered, contacted Mom and Cari, and ran up to Graham's to grab the Star Wars rule book so I could get started on putting together the FireFly game for OryCon. SO: For those of you attending, drop me a line if I should write a character for you for the one-shot. I'll probably run the session Saturday afternoon; I haven't looked at the schedule, and I want to see every panel Jess is in plus her book reading. (:
