Try to make my way through this ordinary world

I had somebody (I no longer remember who) ask me, before I'd installed the game, what I liked best about the Sims. Was it building and constructing? Was it orchestrating and directing the lives of others?
Having now put a good ten hours into the game, ( This is what I like. )
