Aug. 3rd, 2007 09:06 amIt's good to see the courts finally concerned with Due Process.
Of course, it's when a corrupt Congressman (Wiliam "I've got a hundred thousand dollars in cash in my freezer because it tastes better than Ben&Jerry's" Jefferson) is involved. I suspect it's further shoring up of the 'Executive Privelege' thing, because apparently the FBI looking at lawmakers' files violates the 'Legislative Privelege'.
God answers prayers of mother and grandmother of man convicted of conspiracy to commit murder.
For conspiring to commit murder, larceny and housebreaking, Marshall Magincalda will be forced to serve the time in jail he's already served *plus* he will be reduced in rank from corporal to private. I think he's suffered enough.
Anyway. Last night I helped AberrantVirtue get stuff ready for her move, which mostly involved buying some of her books (because I don't have enough book) and then packing four more boxes to the bookstore for buyback. And there I got more books (because I don't have enough book). Then we went to the ViceRoy, a fancy Indian restaurant right at the tip of Shattuck and University, where we had eggplant pakora. It was like little slices of yum, dusted with cardamom and curry powder and more yum dipped in tamarind sauce.
