Aug. 4th, 2007 12:34 pmAs expected, Majority party defeated when Minority speaks sternly to them.
Remember when our President said that FISA was perfect just the way it was, and he didn't need any changes to it in order to protect the country? Apparently those darn terrorist, after six years of all out war, are even stronger, cleverer and just meaner. When I get home I'll look up the list of sixteen Democrats who crossed the aisle to make certain that the terrorists get what's coming to them. I blame Da Zhuang for getting me all riled up.
EDITED to add this nugget: "My Republican colleagues chose to rubber-stamp a flawed administration proposal that fails to provide the accountability needed in the light of the administration's past mismanagement of key tools in the war on terror," said Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.).
Would somebody tell these spineless ineffective losers that they're in the god damned majority, and if their Republican colleagues choose to do something, that's no longer a valid excuse for the craven behavior of their Democratic colleagues?
Fetched the bike, with help of Tersa, this afternoon. At this point, the 3.75 mile ride was no problem. Check with me tomorrow when the long muscles in my thighs check in. I thought the seat was just mis-shaped, but it appears to be only loosely attached to the frame. This will be more problematic than I initially thought.
It is time to start re-thinking how I get around, again, until I feel more confident riding a bike on 101 or 82.
