This is sad.

I'm checking directions for getting to the vet's office in Los Gatos, using Google Maps and the hybrid satellite view. And I think "Oooh! There's an open parking space right in front of the office!"

This is less sad.

I just told a phone operator, in Spanish, that their phone tree was gerfuckt, I didn't speak Spanish, and I would like to speak to a representative in English.
Admittedly, it was probably really *bad* Spanish, but...

Today I am Posty McPostsALot.

I got a loaner bike rack from Earthpig, and it will fit on the back of my bike. (How's *THAT* for meta?) This means: On Monday I can ride my bike to the auto rental place, pick up my car, strap the bike to the back of the car, and be off. I don't have to try to find somebody to give me a life. And I will (if the damned thing fits) be able to have a bike in Ashland.
