Rhiannonstone thought I had too much free time on my hands, and pointed out Word Sandwich. It's a game where you guess five letter words and alphabetically try to narrow down what the word is that the computer's thinking of. (If the word you guess is closer to the front of the alphabet, it floats up to the 'top' of the puzzle. If it's closer to the end, it goes to the 'bottom'.)
I nearly managed to crack 9000 points and it is now after midnight.

For those who may not have seen both elements yet, the soundtrack to Season Two of Carnivale contains some wicked spoilers.

According to the Associated Press, President Bush told congressional leaders privately on Thursday he favors personal income tax rebates and tax breaks for businesses to help avert a recession, officials said, as Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke joined in calls for an economic stimulus package.

I figure that if tax breaks are good when the economy is thriving, they'll be twice as good six years later when the economy is down, right? Or maybe that's just the only domestic policy trick this pony has.

If his next recommendation is that we all go on vacation and cut brush to improve the economy, then I'll know for certain.

There is no hockey game for me.
Because it would be irresponsible, and my time would be better spent at home.

Dear Aelf:
WTF is wrong with people in North Dakota?
Judge declares that using WHOIS information is a computer crime.

Thanks to JulianSinger for the link.

Well, I might as well have gone to the hockey game. I certainly got fuck all done staying at home.
Although the game would have been miserable--apparently somebody in the Sharks organization forgot to inform the boys that the third period would last the full twenty minutes.
All evening on the couch. No editing, no dishes washed. I did watch American Werewolf, because that didn't involve getting up. So now I can send it back to Netflix. If I ever get up off the couch tomorrow.
Which I suppose I'd better. It's the last day for one of our upper echelon at work--one of the fun management types. We're going to the cinema to see Cloverfield and then apparently there will be drinking after.
And wow tonight's A Daily Show is on fire. Bush's awkward interview and the retro moment are already killing me.

EDIT: OMG. Kucinich cameo for the win.
