Aug. 4th, 2008 12:53 amToday I took cubed pork and rubbed it with a combination of the Mediterranean spice from Whole Foods and the chile lime powder from Cholula. Then I fried it up and let it simmer in a cuban garlic lime sauce and served it over quinoa. And it was frickin' excellent. The fennel and spice in the Mediterranean mix made the pork taste like sausage, but since the pork wasn't ground it was like a steak to the sausage's 'hamburger'. Windrose, you may now come into the kitchen and shoot me.
The only thing that would have improved it is if the pork had been a little crispier around the edges.
