Quick Notes:

1. An oldie but a goodie. Just because you have a camera at a public event does not entitle you to direct us lower forms of guest around because YOU ARE TAKING PICTURES!
I realize that you paid money to be here and want to be able to remember this special moment forever. But I paid money to be here and would like to have a special moment or two for my brain camera to remember forever.

2. The Edwardian Ball and the Edwardian World Fair are a tribute to Edward Gorey, and named for him. If you show up in a rough approximation of Edwardian dress, you will feel like an idiot.

3. I'm very glad I found somebody to go with. Yay for the car full of pretty women in flattering clothing.

4. Lee Press-On does not know me and I should not frighten him by greeting him as if we are old friends, even if I am pleased to see him.

This t-shirt showed up in Whedonesque rather than Feministing, but I think it would have been comfortable in either. And although it wouldn't convince me to read the other four books, it would still make me feel satisfied.
