1. An oldie but a goodie. Just because you have a camera at a public event does not entitle you to direct us lower forms of guest around because YOU ARE TAKING PICTURES!
I realize that you paid money to be here and want to be able to remember this special moment forever. But I paid money to be here and would like to have a special moment or two for my brain camera to remember forever.

2. The Edwardian Ball and the Edwardian World Fair are a tribute to Edward Gorey, and named for him. If you show up in a rough approximation of Edwardian dress, you will feel like an idiot.

3. I'm very glad I found somebody to go with. Yay for the car full of pretty women in flattering clothing.

4. Lee Press-On does not know me and I should not frighten him by greeting him as if we are old friends, even if I am pleased to see him.

He does now. And so do his lawyers.

Yeah, I'm just hoping he's accustomed to inappropriate intimacy.

He's a musician, which means he has a very visible public persona. If he can't handle being greeted on friendly terms by people he doesn't know, he's in the wrong line of work. I don't know exactly what happened, obviously, but if he wasn't gracious about the recognition that reflects more on him than on you.

But he's a sensitive arteest. They are very fragile and can't handle crowds, strangers, or sunny weather.

From what I've read of Lee Press-On, that's pretty far from the case. :D

Until he moved to Los Angeles, I'd have been uncertain of the 'sunny weather' part. But apparently he loves going to Disneyland. Where people often think he's an employee.

1. Cameras have magic powers. Command Others is but a minor power compared to, say, Immune to Bullets.

I so need to get me a camera. "Immune to Bullets" would be invaluable at work.

It requires several Illusionist feats first.

Re: #2, I'm guessing that nobody cared much. Costumes are costumes, and there's not that huge a gap between the two. :)

Nobody approached me and asked me to leave, at least. There were no dirty looks that I noticed. Cute salesgirls still chatted me up.
I think it was the adorable white fedora I found at Target yesterday afternoon.
(Oh oh--speaking of adorable. Somebody had bought a plain white cotton lab coat and drawn on the pencil and ink lines like in a Gorey drawing. The pockets, the belt, the shading lines and all. I hope somebody in our group got a picture.)

I hope so too, because that sounds *fantastic*.

Hey, I looked like Amelia Earhart, and no one kicked me out. They were laughing *with* me, dammit.

Of course they were--you're an American hero! Whereas I looked vaguely reminiscent of Senator Claghorn.
