Moon
One sentence review: Most awkward room mate situation EVER.

It feels so good to go to the cinema and *love* a film. If you're a stickler for detail and the lack of proper gravity will make you twitch, then prepare to twitch. The rest of this movie, though... It doesn't move quickly. And the characters feel real. Kevin Spacey should play a friendly version of HAL in every movie. Even movies he's not contracted to be in. The cinematography is gorgeous. The score is lovely (I sat through the credits to listen to the end credits music.) And I laughed a surprising number of times (did not expect that). This film is about how people deal with isolation, the removal of isolation, and pokes at the nature of reality. The trailers hint that it might be a spooky "killer on the moon" flick. Don't buy it. What kind of film is it? Go see it and then you tell me.

Coyote says *five* wags on this one.

Recently, when I was visiting Likable_Lemur, he made a comment about the White Stripes being 'unlistenable'. I pressed him on this, and he allowed as that he'd only heard one song, and I volunteered to put together a Stripe Sampler of some of my favorite songs for him.
And while I don't know if he's converted or not, I've found myself listening to it and being reminded of how fond I am of the band and their three basic sounds.
I'd give you a play list but it's not handy, and so I'll just say that it starts with "You're Pretty Good Lookin' (For a Girl)" and ends with... "Hotel Yorba" I think.
