I've long considered making some recordings of me reading, and having recently made a crappy quality birthday present with Audacity, I'm considering closer to action now.
I've priced a studio at about $35/hour, and am looking to collect some short works to practise on. There's some Milne, and I've tried to find some Wodehouse that's short enough, but haven't come across anything yet. I'll probably check my collections of Gaiman, Shanks, maybe King.
Feel free to make suggestions.
EDIT: I should probably also look at possibilities for background music. And also maybe listen to a few audio books to find out where they use it.
