Weekend Update (with Chevy Chase)
Jan. 16th, 2011 04:18 pmUnfortunately, today was a bit of a relapse. Got out of bed. Took a bit of a rest. Made breakfast. Had a bit of a lie down. Brought laundry up so I would have something clean to wear. Napped. Had a shower. Lay on the carpet regaining strength. You know, that sort of thing.
I did finally get back to work on the radio show (thinking of doing a 'money' theme for April now, after hearing "Strapped for Cash" in the shower), and managed to take my gigantic February playlist and turn the first run through into two playlists nearly exactly the same size.
There's a gorgeous piece of icework just outside the hall window, where the air conditioner vent drips out over a garden hose on a hook. I find myself staring at it, watching as it grows or shrinks. I tried to take a picture of it but was unsatisfied with the results. And then I'd ponder. Things like 'what if that bit broke off?' or 'what would that look like if it were cola?'
Because pondering doesn't take that much energy.
Alas, I don't think I'm going to be running a game for AmberConUS this year. I have two weeks to get a game into a stage where I feel comfortable committing to a slot, and... this is not the best time. But that means I'll have more time and energy to work on costumes that will disturb players and GMs alike.
