Apparently the Red Wings signed Nabokov on Thursday. The Sharks didn't want him, which is a shame, and I hope that works out for them. But I really didn't want any reason to feel kindly toward the Things.

Silver Lining Guy says there's a bright side to this latest bout of near death. I've dropped fifteen of the twenty-five pounds I put on since I moved.

In Other News...

Last night I watched High Fidelity, which made me want to watch Empire Records. And so today I did, and it reminded me why I loved that movie so much when I was a sprout. This movie says Yeah, you may be a fuck up. Your life may suck. You may have done something stupid. You may be afraid. You may not have a Plan. But you know what? Everybody's a fuck up. Everybody's life sucks somewhere. Everybody's done something stupid. But you and those other fuck ups? You're in this together. Look out for each other, do the best you can, and sometimes it works out.

So Damn the Man.
