Power to the people, Right On
Dec. 4th, 2014 01:37 amNow that the GOP has cured ebola and swept every governmental body from the Senate to my friend's book club, there's a lot of dangerous talk about 'bipartisanship' and 'working together'. I'm just going to say this once--knock that crap off.
I had a president once who thought it'd be fun to try bipartisanship, you know, just once, to see what it was like. But when he started treating the minority like they had a role in policy and law making, they suddenly forgot they were a minority and decided they had to have their own way all the time.
My country spent six years violently thrashing and spinning its wheels in forward and reverse at the same time, churning up the ground and failing to perform even the simplest of tasks (aside from congressional pay raises of course) until somebody got the idea to cut Congress out of lawmaking altogether, which sort of helped.
So, yeah, Just Say No to Bipartisanship.
