Weekend update:
I got all the work done for gaming on Sunday. Or, well, at least enough of it to start gaming anyway. (: I disoriented the housemate by being awake and on the couch working when she woke up, wrapped up and grabbed a good three or four hours of sleep before I had to play God. Gaming went pretty well, I think, although only one person said she hated me and that wasn't until after the session.
I was (I really was) going to go see Tamago, as she had put out the tea flag, but exhaustion combined with the couch's increased local gravity meant I sat on my ass and watched movies.
Rounders--enjoyed it a lot. Very glad they didn't try to get him back together with the hot chick at the end. Although there could have been a hook up with Petra.
Fight Club--also enjoyed it a lot. I twigged onto the twist earlier than expected, although that was because of one of the lines people quote from it. And, you know, I think I enjoyed it more thinking "Is he... hrmmmm." Kind of like skipping directly to the second viewing.

Yeah. ): I'm definitely having a problem with this one... So who's Ashley MacIsaac, anyway? I found him in Cindy's stuff and said 'Hey, I have never heard of him plus this sounds cool. Thus perfect for this album.'

He's Canadian, he plays the fiddle, and I have one of his albums that I can bring for you to burn next time I come, if you remind me. I first ran across him about ten years ago, when some of his stuff was used in Due South, which always had awesome music. I should probably have more than one album, but, y'know, so much music, so little time.

Cindy probably stole Mr MacIsaac from me. :-)

"Idiot" is a really fun song, though not very representative of the rest of his work -- Celtic fiddle, sometimes mashed up with other definitely non-Celtic non-fiddle (like punk or house). But for what it's worth, I like his stuff. His web site is in a predictable place.
