Hooray for software!

I knew T was a big fan--if I knew you were keen on it too, I would have included you in the message. Apologies.

I'm not. I just couldn't let that sit there on my screen, uncomprehended, so I fished around online and found some decrypting software.

My first reaction is 'O you big cheater!'
But there is a great deal of hypocrisy in that, given that I went and downloaded software to *write* it.

Heh. Besides, it would only be cheating if I'd cared about the game. I only cared about the message.

Oh, tsk, tsk. Finding software to do the work for you?

I long ago wrote software to do the work for me. ;-) Let me know if you need about 400 lines of Python.

Also: Do let's not talk about the fact that I went to a wordlist to search for words fitting the "CBEMBM" pattern. (In my defense: having copied Cyrano's message into my solver--not my auto-solver, but my computer-assistance solver in which one still has to do the actual work--I didn't notice that it'd split UAM/BIIG across two lines. Once I corrected that, it was my breaking-in point.)

Hey, not fair with that W. That made it hard.

What, including the word CBEMBM didn't? :-)

Well yeah, I was worried that would be unpleasant.

Okay, yes, the 'W' was a suck point. But it was the only song lyric I could think of with 'puzzle' in it. (:
Actually, I figured that C B E M B M would be sticky as well.

Oh and also, the fact that the doubled letters are 'Z' and 'L', and the contraction is not *n't*. In fact, there's a lot of suck in this one.

Revenge.

I'm going to hope this is actually a cryptogram and not just random letter style vengeance, because I'm going to copy this down during my lunch break and try to crack it.

Actually, most of the time there was the transcription. And the above is made trickier by the fact that I put down 'I' as the substitution code for both 'A' and 'U' in my creation table.

Well-played, well-played! Docking minor points for acknowledged trip-up, but overall, quite satisfactory.

And I'll just have to find something else to do with my lunch hour. Perhaps I'll ..... eat.
