So firstly, thank you to all of you who appeased my need for pettins last night. I'm not feeling any better, but at least I'm not feeling crampy any more. Yesterday was the interview for the adminstrative assistant position, and I'm sure I looked and sounded great, with my head full of phlegm and the coughing and the general stupids that come from being sick and congested.

Gina: So give me an example of a time when you had to juggle several projects at once.
Me: Uh....
Me: Uh.
Me: I like puppies. I like to pet them because they are so fluffy.

CD ripping proceeds apace, and I should soon be into the 'L's. At this rate, I should have my entire collection on hard drive by.... the End Times. Maybe when Jesus returns he'll spell me and take over with Yello or Warren Zevon while I catch a quick nap and a Krispy Kreme.

I am now a proud trial member of the Passport to Fun, which basically means that for $15 a month I can get those special passes to AMC for $5.50, and if I buy gift cards for various establishments then a month or two later they'll kick back 20% of the card's value to my credit card so long as I'm still a member. Loew's is also on the menu, as is Outback, Burger King, Red Lobster... a few others. Since it took them three weeks to ship the card, and they started the clock as soon as the card hit the envelope, I have to decide or cancel by... the fourth of November, I think, whether it's worth keeping.

Orycon that weekend will likely be my last travelling anywhere until the new year, because work will be insane and all the smart people/people with seniority have requested holiday time off plus non-revenue travel at that time of year is a little beyond stupid. In January I'm going to try a trip up to the vasty wastes of Idaho to see family and possibly a trip back to Tampa to... see family. Rose? I think you've been adopted.

Sooner or later I really am going to take time during the 'quiet travel time' to go to Hawaii. The nice thing is that 'qtt' also equates with 'not so hot time'.

I've fallen out of the habit of posting five good things every week. I can't decide if I'll fall back in or not, because if you really have to work to scrounge up the fourth and fifth items, it's a little depressing.
