In all the wrong places

My friend Windrose is wrist splinted and is looking into speech-recognition software. I figure it is quite possible that some folks on my Friends List are at least peripherally acquainted with the topic, either through general geekery, professional interest or personal need. She says she looked into it several years ago and the quality was craptastic but suspects they've made a couple of advances since then. (:

I had somewhat OK results with Dragon Naturally Speaking. It's not good enough to use just because I'm feeling lazy, but if I were unable to type for whatever reason, I would definitely use it again.
