Just before the WTC incident, I picked up Pirates and Emperors: International Terrorism in the Real World and put it in my backpack for reading on the train or whenever I'm bored and somewhere. Today I finally opened it up and started reading it. My life is going on.
Going up to Bound tonight, it's decided (I get a chance to wear my cool flowy cassock), and then dragging my sleep-deprived ass around Renne Faire tomorrow. Coming home early to crash so I can go to work and then on Monday I can relax again. (:

Is that the Noam Chomsky book? I read that a bit while we were down there. I haven't really read anything by Chomsky before. It's amazing how relevant it remains after 10+ years.

Ugh. September's country station is playing a recording of "Proud To Be an American" intercut with snippets of President Bush's recent speeches.

That's the one. He's very good at presenting his point, even if I feel he's a bit strident.
