Night two: Less waking up, and when I do there is appreciably less painful dryness. Still took the mask off around seven and went back to sleep for a few hours. Nose still sore from unexpected intrusions. The reservoir for the humidifier does not appear to be perceptibly emptying, and I'm worried that I'm using it incorrectly or that it's not functioning properly.
All in all, promising results.

I've heard good things about the masks. I've a moderate problem along these lines, but it is very related to my weight & fitness levels. Of course, my W&F is related to how well and how much I sleep.

Hm.

And, for the edification of the masses, I offer a picture of a primitive biPAP mask

One of my mask-using friends pointed me at the forums at http://www.cpaptalk.com/ - you might check there for suggestions too.

Really? I was impressed. He makes a biPAP mask look good. I mean to say, how dapper do you have to be to achieve that?
