Put a wiggle in your stride

cyranoSo another all night Sims session creates the Jones; I started with the Talking Heads song "Mister Jones" and thus came up with Mr, Mrs and their punky rebellious teenage daughter Janey Jones. And then I built their charming two-story house. It's the first time, with my own game, that I've built and furnished a house. That, in itself, probably took a couple of hours.
In which the author is reminded that if he cannot keep the affairs of his own life in order, he is of course unlikely to be able to manage those of three others. This is the first time I've had a Sims family larger than one. Janey has an independant streak and seems able to manage her own affairs for the most part. Mrs is at least very neat and does a lot of tidying. Mr on the other hand is pretty ineffectual. I may end up letting him pass on simply because I'm tired of cleaning up after him.
This evening I visited boot_slut, whom I have not seen in a veritable dog's age, and we had not only a lovely conversation but also a video and then she fed me delicious leftovers. I've missed her.
And we watched Roman Holiday; when we got to the line where Irving says "Hit him again, Smitty!" it made me think of Windrose. So I got home and watched Once Upon a Time in Mexico because that also makes me think of her and I love the line "I'm kind of having a bad day" and suspect that as far as movie quotes go it may move up there near "I don't like my job very much, and I don't think I'm going back".
And the nice thing is that movie also makes me think of Raven since she got me the movie as a present and the housemate was home post-hockey so I got to share my evening with four different hotties.
