Miu.
When I worked for AltaVista I would occasionally (especially returning to work after lunch) experience chest pains. A trip to urgent care at PAMF reassured my co-workers that it was muscular and not cardial in nature. Probably I was too stressed, and I should try to relax. Excellent advice. If it happened off work, I would self-medicate with a shot of something alcoholic and that would usually do away with it. It has only been a problem very sporadically since then.
Waiting for the other shoe?
The last two weeks, it's made a reappearance and not in a fun 'cameo in an indie film' sort of way. I don't particularly care for it. Now that I'm starting to sleep through the night again and getting (according to the medical world) much better and more restful sleep I would like this to resolve and not be a problem any more because I'll have more energy and be way less stressed.

[livejournal.com profile] silkblade's been dealing with this issue for several weeks now. So far, her doctor's are saying that it's actually muscular back pain that is sympathetically affecting her chest (her chest muscles are trying to compensate for the back issues).

Torso stretches are good. Exercises to strengthen the back may also be good.

So obviously I need to stop slacking off about the gym, which will deal with both of these. (:
