cyranoWorked a half day on Saturday, and got permission for a bissel overtime tomorrow--so I'm in half an hour early to try and get the floor vacuumed. Tomorrow night I'll go and sift through Monster et al for work I can survive on. Get paid on the 23rd, and when I find out how much is left after rent, I'll go back to plotting another driving lesson. Or do I decide that I'm feeling together enough to start taking friends up on their offers now?
I think I ought to pick up some decongestants--my current suspicion is that the costume shop is aggravating my allergies. And anything that makes me happier at work, I'm in favor of. Like $12 an hour....
So I worked half a day, discovered a new possible route to work, and then passed on a hockey game in order to spend the evening curled up in a mooshy ass-eating chair enjoying lesbian cinema, with Bud Cort looking tremendously old. Hockey apparently went swimmingly even with me not there. Go Sharks.
Today was the Guild costume sale, and everybody seemed to find something they were happy with--Stacey and Angie and Jon and Beth and Dave and Megs and Carol and Laura and Leigh Ann... I even found a mortarboard for my HeadMaster LARP thing, and maybe a scrap of fabric red enough to be a tie for when I go to see the new Alan Moore flick.
And then wonderfulsecretangelhousematehousemate Leigh Ann took me to CostCo so I could get more bubbly liquid, which I was sadly almost out of, and lots of meat. Other stuff too. And we took Angiedust, who had never seen a CostCo, and her eyes got really big, and she squeaked on occasion.
Then we went home and watched movies about kids with screwed up home lives who grew up to be mentally deficient members of society. Four hours is a long time for stuff like that; you have been warned.
I am very smug because this week, instead of saying on Tuesday 'good god I have a game in 24 hours and I have no idea what to do', it's Sunday and I know exactly what I'm doing. There are advantages to this simpler, less demanding form of gaming. (:
