Hrmmmmmmmm.
Senate fails to pass a Constitutional Amendment condemning non-traditional marriage, but which does not condemn Brittney Spears' 25-minute wedding nor does it raise the minimum wage, both of which are arguably larger affronts to the Sanctity of the Family than two men in a loving committed relationship.
Senate fails to pass another Constitutional Amendment to protect the flag from those who would wear it as a t-shirt that is way way way too small for them or one of those godawful flag-motif 'designer jeans'. (Because really *that* is desecrating the flag.)
House passes a non-binding resolution supporting our troops in Iraq because apparently somebody noticed that there are those of us who have forgotten that supporting our troops means putting them in the line of fire and getting them blown up.

Is there... an election coming up soon?

I have only seen those online--they were selling the little magnetic slap-on yellow ribbons (remind me to repeat my rant about yellow ribbons and how the song was about a convicted criminal sometime).
