Sometimes you're the bug

I crockpotted some pork last night. I've been spending the past week drooling over menus from Cuban restaurants and so I wanted something a little spicy. I threw in brown rice, about seven different kinds of powdered pepper, sal y limon, some lime juice, minced garlic, mushrooms and broccoli... possibly some other bits and bobs. And it turned out tasting like tinned pork and beans.
Which is perfectly edible and I'll have no problems finishing it. But not what I wanted. q:
