For those of you who are curious, given the recent discovery that liquids are dangerous:
It looks like I will not, in fact, be allowed to bring anything to drink for the eight to twelve hours I will be at work. However, I believe I will be allowed to retain my precious bodily fluids. Despite the cost savings inherent in dessication before shipping, we will not be dehydrated at security.

I already have a litre of water stashed at work, and can refill it at the drinking fountain. Or I could buy sodas or bottled water, but I doubt that the TSA will be providing me with spending money.

It's a conspiracy to help airports concessions turn a better profit. ;-)

Be careful refilling the bottle... Aside from the plastic risk, bacteria from your mouth can get in the bottle and live there, making your kidneys unhappy ;-)

Point of interest: desiccate is a really messed-up word, in that there is only one 's', but two 'c's. Crazy, and quite contrary to many good spellers' innate sense of good spelling (IME)!
