And all the men and women merely players
Aug. 11th, 2006 03:36 pmSo OSF has posted their 2007 schedule, and I'm a member for next season so I'll get an earlier shot at tickets. Which I plan to use, because there's a host of shows I'd like to see. (Looks like another early October visit, due to availability of the shows I want to see combined with cheaper tickets.)
In the Bowmer Theater:
As You Like It
I'll probably pass. In the next couple of months I'll make an effort to read the script again and see if I change my mind.
Cherry Orchard by Chekov
Will have closed by October, to be replaced by
Tartuffe by Moliere
Which I am interested in seeing.
On the Razzle by Stoppard
It's Stoppard so I'm interested. It's Pygmalion, so there's lots of irony and running about.
Gem of the Ocean by Wilson
Not terribly interested.
In the New Theater:
Rabbit Hole by Lindsay-Abaire
Will have closed by October, to be replaced by
Distracted by Loomer
A play about ADD kids in an ADD world. I'm mildly interested. I hear it's funny.
Tracy's Tiger by Metropulos
A musical adaptation of the short novel. I can't find enough information to be interested.
On the Elizabethan Stage:
Tempest
Highly Interested. Never seen this one performed.
Taming of the Shrew
Low interest. Unless they look like they're doing something really interesting here, I'll probably pass.
Romeo and Juliet
Mild interest. It'll be a crowd favorite and likely a crowded favorite. If they do something interesting, I'll lean further toward getting a ticket.
In other news, I was able to take my applesauce through security at the airport. Apparently enough solid bits to satisfy TSA.
Hmm. No acting or Shakespeare icon.
