Oh Great and Wise Oracle: Riddle me this!

Are we still on for Sunday? Can I pick you up at 10 a.m.? I will drive and the lunch and the books are on me.

O spirits! Come forth!
The spirits say.... yes, Sunday is good, and they will try to have me ready by ten.

Young girls picked them, every one.
When will they ever learn?
Oh.
When will they ever learn?

(Alternately? To the big rodeo in Enid this weekend.)

How does one make butter from a butterfly?

Actually, this is a common (and tragic) misconception--butterflies are not a *source* of butter. They are flies who have been magically transformed due to their love of eating butter. The butter fairy, much like you, will be sitting in his kitchen making microwave nachos, and he will see one of these industrious fellows risking his life just to rub his feet while sitting on the butter cube. Instead of smashing the little bugger like I'd do, he instead sprinkles a pinch of butter dust over the lucky insect. Over the course of the next week, it grows those large colorful signature wings and goes out into the world to spread its love for butter to everyone it meets.

Well, you can either take the half-credit late question, or just take a zero on this week and then make up for it next week. (:

I'll take the question.

What was your favorite book as a kid?

I'd probably say "Stalking the Nightmare", the book that introduced me to Harlan Ellison. There was this wiggy story about the three wise men trying to find the Christ before the army of flying monkeys spotted them.... Ironically, I'd say one of my favorite books now is "House at Pooh Corner".

Hilarious.
The Ellison story? Yeah, in a fever-dream drug-trip kind of way.
