cyrano: (Evil Laugh)
[personal profile] cyrano
A posting to talk about random stuff so I don't talk about the stuff that's really on my mind.

My friend Greg's recent thoughts on the War on Terror. And while I expect many people are tired of politics, I feel that his reasoned and even handed approach is a soothing balm to the hysteria and rancor that passes as 'political discussion' today.
Enh. Just go read it.

I'm trying to put together a playlist of songs that make me think of the ocean. If you have suggestions, especially suggestions that I already own, comment here. (I made my first iTunes smart playlist for this! Woo!)

Two weeks until the big holiday trip. So the next two weeks I will need to finish all the prep work for the entire time I'm gone. Which will be inconvenient and busy, but I'll survive. Plus there will be Shakespeare as an incentive.

This Sunday there will be books and Luc Besson. Next Sunday there will be hot water. Things could be worse.

Also, the title char in Cyrano was understudied. Quite good, I only caught one break, but don't go up expecting to see the advertised lead (I heard his mother was dying & so he had to leave.)

Thanks for the warning. I don't know who the advertized lead is, so I hadn't got my hopes up too high, but still. (:
