No blood for vinegar and oil

So yesterday, after reviewing the new TSA guidelines, there was the joke that I could once again have salad dressing, so long as I packed it in a travel size shampoo bottle.
And today there was eyeballing various containers in the kitchen, trying to discern how much three ounces was, and what could be reasonably used as a container and dispenser.
There will be no salad purchases before the big trip (which is now at least tentatively scheduled) but once I get back I think I can resume the ingestion of fibrous greens as a dietary supplement.
And Greg and Ambar? I had a lunch date today at Darbar and thought of you. (:

EDIT:
Yesterday I was worried about rain, and about packing enough to stay warm in Oregon while staying cool in Florida.
Today, checking the ten-day forecast for Medford, I see temperatures in the eighties and low nineties.

Whoever makes those decisions should be given an immediate full-lobotomy. It couldn't make their decision-making any worse.

Well, that all depends. If you classify this as making decisions to keep the air travellers and air craft in a reasonable balance between safety and liberty, then yes, they've made some poor decisions.
If you classify this as making decisions to remind the US public that we are at war with an evil and implacable enemy which lurks in every dark corner and wishes to destroy us absolutely, and you'd like to time that reminder for just before a crucial midterm election when your poll numbers are sagging, then this was an excellent decision.

(They didn't have tamarind sauce! Didn't they used to have tamarind sauce? They looked at me weird when I asked for it, and then pointed at the vinegar and oil salad dressing.)
