Today's Horoscope: Venus conjoins Mars in your celestial house of love. The only problem is there's more than one love. Whoops!
Windrose, I think that your Three of Swords was so strong that it's bleeding into my starsigns because I strongly doubt that sometime today I'm going to suddenly shift from a zero-dimensional floating point into a two-dimensional triangle. Or pentacle. Or whatever.

I have created a Fantasy Congress Team and think that you should join me in the "Power Corruption and Lies" League. I already have somebody I don't know in the group, and I think there should be more '80s song references. (My team is Stand Down Margaret.) I've decided arbitrarily that my team should be equally composed of Republicrats and Democricans, and I ignored the independent.

Anybody who's interested in a membership at 24 Hour Fitness should talk to me--it looks like I have the ability to gift a few people with memberships at my current rate ($39 a month) until the end of October. Initiation and processing fees are waived. I've got two, so talk fast.

In re-reading my fanfic, I discover that Serenity has stolen not just one but two of the 'good bits' I had written, and now I need to decide how much rewriting needs to take place.
She paused and studied him, frowning slightly. He was almost certain he could feel her rummaging through his thoughts casually, like a child poking through a toybox. "I see," she said after a moment, "This does sound interesting." The group turned as one and started up the path. "Thunderspeaker met you once; he was unimpressed, and thus we wasted no further thought on you."
Following along behind them, Onyx allowed himself a smug grin. "I suppose that will have to change now," he said.
She glanced back at him, bemused. "No. It really won't," she said casually.

Right on, League joined, though it took for freakin' ever. Worst. User Interface. EVAH. My team's Stand and Deliver, I'm wondering if I should go with a bunch of cut-throat sharks or my idealistic dream team of Mr. Smith style fighters for the common man. Given how long it took me just to find the damn League I think I'll save team set up for later.

I count fourteen clubs in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
And a dozen in the greater Portland area.

Yeah, but until lately there was some waffling. I'll check into it.

I'm in Vegas, which has been in the works for a month or so.

I have a job, will get a better job tomorrow, I'm moving into our own (rented) 4 bedroom house today. Life isn't bad here :D (wait until summer!)

Looks like I need a DoB and an EFT. You don't have an account so I'll run the monthly dues through my account. They're going to post the card to me so I'll need an address at some point to mail the card to, but I think that you can make arrangements with a nearby club to temporarily use some other system.
I think I can use the Active and the Sport level clubs for $39

why?

Congress is like a top. It spins furiously and gets nowhere. It's even more boring than baseball (but less than the job where you watch paint dry) Why do we need a fantasy league for this?

Pretty much for the same reason we 'need' a fantasy league of any sort. We don't. "It spins furiously and gets nowhere" describes a great majority of our passive entertainment, except baseball which fails to even spin furiously. It sort of spins in a lackadaisical fashion. And I don't have to sit in front of the television for three hours (more if there are extra innings) in order to participate--I just wait for the wrap up at the end of the day.
