This is so not fair. Just looking at the course catalog for Foothill Winter Term makes me feel exhausted and numb. I'm *trying* to break the process down into discrete units, but it feels like every step has the collective weight of my entire future bearing down behind it, regardless.
However, it appears that Foothill does not have a paralegal program, but they do have a biotechnics program. The polisci program looks miniscule. History might be manageable. Radio. Drama. Photography. Computer applications--maybe network stuff, maybe programming. I don't remember any longer what else I saw.

I did have an experience today with labels. Part of being self aware and lazy is getting yourself some labels. One of mine is 'I have a weak chest and I get sick (often pneumonia) in the winter'. But off hand I can't recall the last time I spent two weeks being sick, which would happen pretty much every year for a while and destroyed my vocal range.
Another is 'I have hypoglycaemia and I need to eat every once in a while to maintain blood sugar levels'. But last night at midnight I had a hamburger (decadence! cow!), this morning I had a cup of yogurt, and then it was after four o'clock before my hands started to shake.

I borrowed a fistfull of CDs from Ellie, and I'm discovering how much I miss the liner notes. I am totally unprepared for the digital revolution.

Have you tried College of San Mateo?

Not yet. Commuting up to Foothill is already a pain in the ass, and I haven't even decided what I want to do in college. I need to see an admissions counselor. I probably want to talk to E as part of my paralegal research.
Is there something about CSM that I should stay aware of? I'm open to suggestions and information from reliable sources.

Not that I know of. I just thought they might have different offerings. There are so many colleges around here and most of their catalogues are online, (depending on how far you wish to commute to class.)

Yeah, and I'm sure there's somebody around here who specializes in whatever I end up deciding on. That's probably another thing an admissions counselor can inform me on.

I seem to remember Vivian Cohen being pretty nifty as a counsellor; I talked to her a few times and she was very supportive of the 'I have been working and I'm sick of it and must find something else to do' idea. She is kind of, hmn, crunchy granola, but also sensible, if that makes any sense.

Makes perfect sense. Is she a counsellor at College San Mateo or Foothill or somewhere else entirely?

She's a counsellor at Foothill, or at least was when I was there -- I saw her a few times around 2002-2004ish.

We should hang out in the cold and hack up a lung or two together. :)

See, that's the thing; for me, I doubt it had aught to do with weather. It probably had everything to do with being in class, and sharing a small space with lots of other infected people who wouldn't stay home sick because they'd miss class and then getting sick and not staying home sick because I'd miss class.
But I'd love to get together and compare lungs.

Hey, is that innuendo or is it in mine?

*cough*

My endo appears to be fine. Let me have a look at yours, and we can clear this confusion up.
