She's gonna nix politics
Dec. 12th, 2006 11:52 amYou know how you obsessively keep editing and refining a project, and every time you think you're getting close to done you realize that this other thing needs to be added so that it will be closer to your vision?
And then you say Screw this, if I keep on doing this I will never be done and so I just need to declare that I am finished because really all the important stuff is done?
And then, twenty minutes later you realize you've forgotten a really really important bit that you'd like to be able to sand over or omit but you just can't?
Stupid Alphaville. Stupid David Bowie and Mick Jagger. Stupid project. Stupid Christmas.
Stupid sick. Stupid work. Stupid rain. Stupid cold. Stupid iTunes.
(EDIT: Allow me to expound on 'Stupid iTunes'. Because RealRhapsody doesn't have the songs I wanted, I went to the iTunes music store, despite my general abhorrence of iLife and the iMafia, because... well, because Tower Records closed down and I'd really like to get this damned project done. And at first, my software says "iTunes music store? I can't find them. I guess they must be really busy." Hunh. So I go to the website on my browser and it says HI! I'm HERE! Get yourself some MUSIC!" and so I say okay, sure. And it says "Are you SURE you have iTunes? Because I sure can't find it." So I direct it by the hand and say here, here it is. And it says "OH. That's the SUCKY, OLD, iTunes. You have to upgrade to the shiny NEW iTunes to use the music store NOW." Um. The new iTunes, the one that I've heard screws things up and makes iLife problematic in new ways? "YEAH! It ROCKS! Gotta download it gotta gotta gotta ---")
