And it's Friday! Some of you had to go back to work and are thus scouring the interwebs for entertainment, and by golly you've found it! Once again, I bring you the "It's Friday Ask Me A Question Day" post! IFAMAQD! You decide how that's pronounced! And then ask me a question! Because it's Friday!

Why can't you tell us how it's pronounced?

It's not that I *can't* tell you. I believe in a free press and freedom of speech--I believe that one of the things we're fighting for in Iran is the freedom for people to decide how difficult new acronyms are pronounced! I believe that the American people are brave and resourceful, and I believe that my opponent is unneccessarily defeatist. His or her attitude is pernicious and needs to be nipped in the bud. Which is why I am declaring, here and now, my candidacy for the highest office in the land! And I'm glad to have the support of you, my loyal readers, as I press forward to drive this country back into the greatness that is its manifest destiny!
Thank you! Thank you! No, thank *you*!

Perhaps the roads have always been closed, and since you didn't want to go there you hadn't noticed.
Or perhaps you waited to develop the desire to go until the second storm system passed through and shat all over Colorado.

OK who is the dude on the "Address me" and "So much for scientific inquiry" icons? I think I recognize him but not sure.

Also who is the G in TGIF?

OK bye

What do you predict for 2007?

Oh...
I see that you didn't get the memo.

The dude is either Tim Roth or Guildenstern or occasionally Rosencrantz. Tim Roth is probably most famous for a string of roles in Tarantino flicks (Mister Orange, Pumpkin, Ted the Bellhop), while Guildenstern is probably most famous for being a dead Danish lawyer.

The "G" is George--Trust George In Finances, a reference to George Washington's picture on the one dollar bill and a mnemonic device for those who believe that the best financial plan is to convert all savings to one dollar bills and then stuff the walls of your house with them in order to insulate and cut down on heating costs.

I predict several months--perhaps as many as twelve! Each with at least twenty-five days, mark my words. I predict that in 2007 the United States will continue to occupy Sandusky, Ohio, regardless of the desires of the natives. I predict that I will have a birthday... I'm seeing it sometime in the summer, probably a month beginning with a 'J'. I'm seeing as many as two solstices this coming year, but not very close together. Will Ferrel will make a new movie, and it will blow chunks.
