If I were living a virtuous life, I would not have gone a week without posting. And if I did, I would have filled you in on all the wonderful things that happened over that week. I'm not. Suck up and deal. It's been a week, I'm still alive and more or less caught up with life.
This morning my friend Hazmat showed me a picture that I adore and made me giggle and led me to a website full of some cool Coyote-related artwork. Then I went downstairs and did gaming stuff while I waited for Leslie and Todd to arrive. This game, which I've been running for nearly two years, should come to a climax on Wednesday. It's kind of like closing night for a play--at last it's finally over good lord what am I going to do with my life. I'm bringing bit characters back for a final bow, releasing nuggets of information that had gone undiscovered, and hopefully bringing the chapter to a satisfying conclusion. There will be denoument(sp?) and epilogue some time in January though.
Today was Dickens Fair and the benefit Victorian Christmas gathering for Rengstorff House. I got a Leslie (girl from work) and her boy Todd for the first, and a Mei for the second, once I pried her away from her valiant and fierce head-kicking session.
We had a limited time at DF, and so we pretty much just browsed the shops. I spent way too much on food (because I was stahvin') but it was yummy food. We saw some cool clothes (and nice black lace) and I found this evergreen garland that was very nice. And I looked at a fairy tarot deck and thought of AngieDust. I'm hoping to go back and see more. However, I was wearing my cassock and almost got a performer's discount on some stuff, and one of the other 'guests' wanted to ask me all sorts of questions about the period Anglican church. Maybe next year I'll consider working. (But I might have to cut my hair. Or I could be a tinker....)
Anyway. I got to R-House and mingled for a while, listened to the pretty four-part harmonies singing Christmas songs, snacked on free food, got overheated and wandered around the gardens and out to the lake, came back nicely chilled and hung out and socialised more. I bought five raffle tickets, which thrilled Miranda (at least until Mei showed up and bought twenty...) and gave me a shot at a lovely dinner for six at the House in February. And we sat and talked about some fundraiser ideas for the House.
Today was a lot of fun, pretty much. I met the mate's cat (mao!) this weekend, played with him today. I had yummy yummy stirfry for breakfast. Dickens Fair. Christmas in the Parlour. Gaming prep. Plus I got skritches. Any day I get skritches is a banner day. And now I'm way late for bed. *zum*

We're closed 24 and 25 Dec so I bet I'm working 26-29 Dec. But that's from 10 to 6 so I have some free time.
