Okay, so I just heard a version of that "Youuuu ahhh" song that I previously thought was the "Oooooo ahhhh" song which got overplayed so much that even I was sick of hearing it. But this version had this really cool rhumba beat to it, and I might actually pay money for it. Except that KFOG's 'now playing' function seems to be more of a 'not playing' function. q:

I remember KFOG when I lived in SF! Are they any good these days? They were kinda crummy when I lived up there

My general opinion is that radio is 'kinda crummy' at best. However, my alarm plays radio when I wake up, and I think KFOG is one of the better local stations. They have actual DJs, the morning show is not intolerably obnoxious, they do a lot to support the local music scene, and they have a pretty wide playlist, at least compared to Top 40. And they stopped playing 'In Your Eyes' every 25 minutes. (:

How about Live 105-that used to be a good station. It had the only morning show that I actually ever liked-The Alex Bennett show. They always had great guest stars like Nina Hartley and Greg Proops. I know before I moved to San Diego from SF Alex Bennett left and they had Johnny Steele for awhile. Then I was just about to move (1998) and they started having Howard Stern. I am not a fan of him. I know that makes me sound pedestrian and so very female. Oh well. I miss San Francisco. It was just a hard place to live.

I am apparently also pedestrian and female.

And I sometimes think about actually living in San Francisco again, but I think I'm pretty happy out in Mountain View.

Live 105... It sounds vaguely familiar, but I didn't listen long enough to develop a passionate opinion. And it sounds like you were leaving just about the time I arrived.
