What's the best way to pipe "train tracks" onto my son's birthday cake?

And why won't this baby I watch stop screaming? He's clean, fed, and well cuddled. :(

I think that if you've got the Lionel tracks, just wash them in hot soapy water and then lay down a cellophane undertrack. The baby is probably screaming because he's sick and tired already of a Presidential primary battle that still has a year and a half to go.

*laugh* I don't have Lionel tracks, but not a bad idea ;-) I just made buttercream frosting mixed green and red food dye- no joy, dropped in a tablespoon of coco, and have a beautiful "baby poop brown." I just got out a plain round tip and drew it on. I'll drop a little Thomas engine on it, and call it a train.

That probably is the baby's problem... I think his parents are republican, and our frequent Obamah ravings probably make him ill too.

I'm not even a Republic, and the Obama ravings are starting to make *me* ill so I can totally understand that. (:

If you could recommend any song to me, what song would that be and why?

I'd say either Guitar(The Lion Sleeps Tonight) or Man It's So Loud In Here, both by TMBG. Because listening to them makes me happy and I can shout along with them. And I think this would be a fine thing for you.

When is the next good show that should not be missed?

(And I love Peter Gabriel. You could have months of quotes for your "topic" portion of your posts from his lyrics, and months more from old Genesis stuff since he also wrote most of those lyrics also.)

I'd have to go with the Police, despite the fact that I'm going to miss it.

What internet radio sites do you recommend?

The only internet radio I use is Launchcast, and (despite having over five thousand ratings) that only rarely. But if I had a job where I had no access to my tens of thousands of mp3s but I had access to a computer with audio capabilities I'd probably go back. It has lots of fiddly bits and is very customizable.

Two for today:

1) Why is it that I lose socks in the laundry ONLY in the SF Bay Area?

2) What is it about a half rest that makes it ineffible to beginning band students?

1) LA and Bakersfield suck so much that the dryer sock-stealing differential is entirely nullified.
2) Beginning band students aren't used to subtle nuances. They need a whole rest or no rest at all. None of this in between stuff, because they're rock and roll.
