I'm looking through you

I went out on a limb and ordered uniform trousers two inches smaller than the last time. (I held on the shirts because my shoulders are just as wide and I don't think my monumental gut has shrunk any.)
They arrived earlier this week, and this morning I'm wearing all new uniformity.
...So far, except for the unhemmed quality of the trouser legs, all appears well. No tingling numbness, no ominous ripping sounds when I move, no looking like the bottom half of me is a deformed mutant navy blue forked sausage.
