Nobody can stop the music
Mar. 15th, 2007 07:50 pmI am nearing completion on half a dozen different mix discs. Further updates later. There's one, though...
You know that scene in the movie where the kids are sitting around the Malt Shop enjoying their sodas and talking about wholesome subjects when the Bad Boy and his entourage saunter in, and he puts his transistor radio on top of the jukebox full of Pat Boone and Doris Day and starts playing That Music and suddenly the kids can't tell right from wrong?
Yeah, it's a mix disc of the station on that transistor radio. In fact, the working title of the CD is 'Trouble at the Malt Shoppe'.
But my problem is that most of the songs that fall into that category are like a minute and a half long. I have about twelve minutes of material right now. It reminds me a lot of working the punk rock show on KBVR--I pretty much spent the entire time frantically cueing up a new record on the second turntable before the track on the first turntable finished.

Date: 2007-03-16 06:52 pm (UTC)I have Matt Nathanson on the Spy Plane album which I'm pretty sure is yours, and I suspect the Foo Fighters on Prince in a Can is also yours.
But I will tackle you anyway, because it's fun.
(One of these days I'll get around to actually spending money on You And Me Both.)
