Micro review of "Hot Fuzz": Fuckin' brill.


I laughed. A lot. The accent was not "Trainspotting" level difficult, but there were bits of dialogue I'd like to hear again, or watch with subcaptions. The music director should be given a cookie. It was immensely satisfying to watch each literary point get carefully set up and then, one by one, get knocked down again. They tease, though, with the last one. "Did we forget about that? Ooh, maybe we did."
I would like to thank my movie-going partner for her patience, and am immensely pleased that my lack of a sense of direction only meant that I missed most of the trailers. Which means that if folks want to go again and I can schedule it that I still have some crappy trailers to see.

I have not seen all of it--we watched a few episodes at Erik's. And the next three weeks are going to be crazy busy, so I don't know how available I'm going to be. Trying to get to Seattle this weekend, Idaho the next and Florida after that. Because I'm insane.
