cyranoI don't know why, but it seems there's at least one moment in each episode of Sports Night that makes me cry.
Next Friday I should be heading out of town for a week or so--going up to spend a week with my parents finally, with my sister-in-law helping out with airline tickets, and a couple of days in Seattle since another friend there is kicking in for airfare. And another friend is helping me cover the money I'll miss from work.
Leaving the afternoon of the first, back on the tenth if the very fates and nature herself do not conspire against me.
It has occurred to me that, for the first time in a long time, I'm going to have to check luggage. I hate doing that, but I can guess that if nothing else they won't let me take my safety razor as a carry on. (I might nick somebody in-flight.) Hopefully I will be able to contain my contempt for the great majority of the human race while I am packed into the cattle queues. Speaking of packing, I should consider something like that in the near future.
There was a third something I was thinking about, but I can't remember what it was. Maybe it was the six-day work weeks. I'm doing that for now, during inventory at work. Last week I got in fifty hours, this week shouldn't be much different. Not only lots of pay but I'm getting much more familiar with the stock. We have a whole lot of really cool gun props. I wish I could afford to play with them. The horse's head pistol/dagger is the most interesting. But the blunderbuss with the huge flared barrel is the coolest.
If I had more brain, I'd probably have a coherent post rather than just rambling. Lately I haven't got a whole lot of brain in general though. I trust that my friends will still like me once I'm feeling social and energetic again.
