I am collecting birthday loot. There may be more to come. However, I wanted to share these.
Ebonlock gave me a lovely CD, book and DVD so as to make certain that I had all the media bases covered, but the crown jewel (in an envelope marked URGENT) was this:
And when I got home tonight, my mother's box was on the front doorstep, looking lonely and abandoned. Along with the Derek Jeter shaving gel and the bottles and bottles of delicious Watkins goodies was this:
This is probably where all this coyote nonsense started. In 1974 it was being used in a Navajo school in Arizona. I have no idea how it found its way into our house so quickly, but as you can tell by looking it was very well read. Next year I'm hoping for a copy of Beetlekin the Brave. (:
Also, my twin nieces (the only twins out of the two hundred and seventeen nieces I have) drew me pictures, which they sent along.
As a catching up, my brother sent this to me earlier this year.
I don't think I've contacted him yet, but every time I see it I am reminded that I ought to. It was tremendously thoughtful, in ways that I haven't fully comprehended yet. Especially coming from my brother.
Also, my sister and at least a hundred and twenty of the other nieces called and sang happy birthday to me.
