Oct. 19th, 2007 11:16 pmAn open letter to whoever is operating the webcam for the DNA Lounge:
I realize that this is a free service for those of us who couldn't be arsed to actually buy a ticket and come to town. I realize that I should be very grateful just to be able to hear the show, and without this service that would not be an option.
But, honestly, you're making me crazy. The fully unzoomed view of the whole stage and both sides is okay, but the random zooms on the MC's boots or a far edge of the stage where nothing's happening? And the random panning back and forth between those views? It makes you look like you're just untalented. If it's a tactic to make people buy the tickets, I hope it works. But there are girls taking off their clothes (and eventually hep cats swingin') and I'm very sad that I'm missing them.
Love,
Cyrano
Oh! A PS: to my regular readers--16 November is the Hubba Hubba Revue with Lavay Smith and the Red Hot Skillet Lickers!
EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that there may not in fact be an operator, just a robot with a programmed movement cycle.
Which would explain a lot.
