Mar. 7th, 2002 10:38 pmI got pettings tonight!
This morning the eastern mountains were showing off the nice green color that they turn for about two or three weeks before they turn urine-yellow, and the clouds were scampering up and down the slopes. The past couple of weeks has been lovely. Sunny days, with highs in the upper 70s, which is a perfect place for them to be; rainy days where it actually rains, and wind that makes it actually cold out. For what little time I get to spend out of doors, I've been pleased.
And I think I finally bludgeoned AltaVista into getting me my tax information.
So there was an article in the paper today about an Italian National who was arrested under suspicion of impersonating a federal officer and robbing people. However, the police declined to release his name, as they felt it might impede their attempts to apprehend his partner.
I can only imagine the thoughts going through the commissioner's mind as he announced this plan:
The criminal mastermind sips his coffee and reads the paper, where he stumbles across this article about an Italian arrested under suspicion of impersonating a federal agent and robbing people.
He frowns thoughtfully and wonders if this person knows his partner, an Italian who impersonates a federal officer and robs people. He taps his chin twice with a forefinger, pensively. Then he shrugs and gets up to go to his planned rendezvous with his partner, who for some reason failed to make their last meeting.
