cyrano: (Bad Day)

I can't do any of the things I'd planned to do during lunch break. Mostly because I biked to work and left my purse at home.
I can't walk and listen to music because the mp3 player is in my purse.
I can't go to the library and check out the Aimee Mann album I want becuase my library card is in my purse.
I can't go to the library and stick the CD in my laptop and rip it there because the laptop came to work with me yesterday, not today.
I can't read my book because it's in my purse.
I don't want to go out to lunch because I made PBJ and that's way less expensive.
And I'm still feeling sullen because yesterday I skipped lunch so I could leave early and then ended up having to stay late.

EDIT: However, Earthpig did read my LJ post yesterday and left me lovely chocolate. And I ordered pizza. (Which, while highly disappointing, was still pizza.)

I would lay money that the nice people at the library would check out that CD to you without your card if you go up to them in person and/or know your number. I've discovered that the self check stations at my library can be used with a manually-entered card number (I type mine in enough to place reserves/renewals that I know it by heart).

Alas. I know my number is a 2, and then three or four zeroes and then some more numbers, but that's all. I'll call and ask if I can do it with picture ID.

mmm. Thank you.
It's not a traumatic, earth shattering pile up like yesterday, just a brief frustration from poor planning. So today is a much better day. And I will be just fine on the ride home.
