I would consider a symphony (Or even perhaps a concept album like 'Pieces of Eight' or 'Operation:Mindcrime') to be a 'piece'.

You'd better consider symphonies whole pieces, because those who don't and play just selected movements (unless they are students) are philistines who deserve to be flogged in public. (Can you tell I feel strongly?)
