I don't think I'm going to the kinky Victorian party in the City tonight. (Strip Whist! Alas.) I don't know if I'll know anybody, and I don't particularly want to go alone, and it's more energy than I'm prepared to expend.
However, I think I'm going to the four o'clock showing of Blade Runner at the Aquarius, even if nobody else goes with me.
And, due to the efforts of people who want me to come to Texas (or of people who want to get me the hell out of California) I'm going to visit friends over New Year's weekend.

For the record, we have Blade Runner in Texas, too. At an historic theater, no less. And four o'clock showings, too - I should know, I was there!

Our theaters serve alcohol. How weird is that?

In fact, long before I knew BR was showing here, the Dallas performances were on the website. I'd consider waiting until the end of the month but I'm pretty sure it won't last that long.
(And I'm not talkin' about a paper cup. I'm talkin' a *glass* of beer.)
