Woke up this morning, panicked, because the stereo was already playing, quietly, and I figured I was already late. But no, according to my computer I was up five minutes early. (The other side of the mix tape I commented on in Friday's entry; includes some cool stuff I'd never heard before. Lucious Jackson, Soul Coughing...)
And in the bathroom I discovered that I have that eczema crap breaking out on my eyelid again. Usually that's a stress reaction, but the odd thing is that the past couple of days I've been feeling less stressed than usual. A couple of days off, a bunch of movies (at home and in cinema), and wonderful lovely Megs and wonderful lovely Cindy said 'go to the post office--they desperately want to hire people; it pays better than the current job, and might turn into an actual career type thing'. Plus it wouldn't have the transportation issues that the SkyWest job would have.
Last night there were no parties at all. I just stayed home and watched Titus and was incredibly depressed because these people were doing something creative and innovative and I doubt I will ever do something like that because I'm not sure I've got it anywhere inside me.
But today I'm feeling much better.

Depression can bring on stress reaction crap. My acne can attest to that.

Spooky - I was going to mention the PO to you to after I saw a sign in the Sunnyvale office down the street a couple of weeks ago. I just forgot. %) I'd much rather talk to you at a counter than that mean jerky guy who I always let people go in front of me to visit so I can have anyone else nice. (wow - that sentence sucked. but I'm not inspired enough to fix it.)

Plus you have a PO very close to home! Walk to work!

Hate to rain on your parade (unfortunately I'm good at that sort of thing), but...... Are you sure they are looking for counter help and not mail carriers (involving driving and tons of walking)? Are they looking for people to man your local post office, or one in Colderthanawitchstit, Alaska? Do they instead want someone to work at a mail processing center where the employees eventually gone insane and bring AK-47's to work in order to kill everyone?

Before going gunho, I'd find out about these things. If you move to Colderthanawitchstit, I ain't gonna visit you.

Bah. All I did was watch the bonus disc stuff. There is still plenty of Titus, if we ever get around to watching 'East is East'.

I am not yet sure of anything--I'm going to go down and talk to them tomorrow and get the information from them that I can, and promise to report further findings. The license should be a minor hurdle, as I'm planning to have one soon. The walking will be a more considerable hurdle, involving buying a new pair of Docs.
Hey, maybe they want somebody to deliver mail on campus in LA. (:
