Waiting for my bus to come
Jan. 23rd, 2008 10:21 amI am frustrated that this week I finally got back on the bike (the battery in the rear light was out and I didn't feel safe riding it without) and, due to plans that require an auto, I'm only going to get to ride it once this week.
Despite the fact that, twice, people tried to run me over because they realized that if they actually USED THEIR FUCKING TURN SIGNALS then I'd be able to get out of their way and avoid being crushed by their gigantic extended cab idiotmobiles.
Weird dream this morning, but at least it didn't involve everybody I was responsible for dying. CalamityMolly invited me for a visit, but after I arrived she found out that she was going to get a contract to kill me. So she was trying to get me as safe as possible before she was officially issued the contract. Thank you, hon.

Date: 2008-01-23 06:47 pm (UTC)The problem is that people on bikes or on foot have a lot less protection and visibility so it's far more dangerous for them when two tons of steel and fiberglass guy isn't paying any attention to the road.
Actually, the problem's genesis is when people start to take driving for granted as something that just sort of happens.
